drunk

This one I got from Lowyat.net credit to ALittleMisfit 🙂

A drunk had been at a pub all night. At last call, the drunk stood up to leave and fell flat on his face. He tried to stand one more time, to the same result.

He figured he’d crawl outside to get some fresh air, since maybe that would sober him up. Once outside, he stood up and fell flat on his face. So he decided to crawl the four blocks to his house.

When he arrived at the door he stood up and again fell flat on his face. He crawled through the door and into his bedroom. When he reached his bed he tried one more time to stand up. This time he managed to pull himself upright, but he quickly fell right into bed and was sound asleep the second his head hit the pillow.

He was awakened the next morning by his wife shouting, “So you’ve been out drinking again, have you?!”

“No! What makes you say that?” he asked, putting on his best innocent expression.

“The pub called… you forgot your wheelchair again.”

/end story

Lesson learnt
– Nothing good can come from drinking (liquor that is)
– The mind is a priceless thing to waste
– Instead of killing it via drinking, isn’t it better be used for blogging 🙂

Enjoy your Sunday everyone!

Summary – The problem is to start

When I want to write an article here, there is always just one problem to it. It was to sit down and start.

Yesterday the mrs and I went to Tampin, about 50km from home just to browse for a thing or two. Basically just wanted to see Tampin :). Can you guess which process took the longest time? It was us getting ready to go. The journey was very smooth and we could get back with still some sunshine over our head.

It is apparent that in almost anything that we do, the most important steps is NOT researching how to do it, NOT how to do it. It’s when you are going to start. Don’t you agree?

If we can establish this as the key problem… and do something about it, I am quite confident that most of our work will be accomplished efficiently

Whenever there is work to do, just move your arm and do it. To start the work is actually the hardest thing to do. The rest will come naturally

When there is homework/assignment in front of us waiting to be done, it can only be done if we take the pen and do it. Simple… Thinking about what other activity can be done at the time will not finish the work, Reading blogs will not be helpful either.. (That’s what I’m doing most of the time hehe)

There’s a saying that “you fail to plan means that you plan to fail”. But I supposed an extension of that quote should be “but if your planning process take forever, it’s better that you fail. At least you learn something from it.”

A lengthy quote will never work. 🙂

– I wonder –
How to find the balance between planning carefully before doing a task and just start the task and plan along the way? Which do you agree?

————– Personal Note ————-
I went to Tampin to find myself and the mrs a red Baju Melayu for DaPocket’s wedding this February. However we didn’t find any… Not that we are looking very hard. We were just taking an evening drive 🙂

I just realized that the town is claimed by both state Negeri Sembilan and Melaka.

graduate

Summary – Lifelong Learning

The interview was not on the 3rd but it is today 🙂 This is me just after the interview, and by the look of the smiley just now… I think I did great 🙂 (here’s another smiley)

When I was studying, from primary school, to secondary school and then to university, all I want to be is to grow up and finish studying. I am looking forward to work because I want to get over this studying as soon as possible.

This is where I make a fatal mistake.. I assume that I will no longer have to study when I started working.

Actually, when we started to work, the amount of things need to be studied will doubled. This is because we need to have certain knowledge for us to work efficiently. How can you expect a typist to do his work when he always forget the alphabets, right? He needs to remember, and not only that, he need to be able to offer more to compete with other typist, for example, grammar expertise.

And unlike those days, we now need to remember permanently what we study. There’s no more study for exam, and forget it after that. In my field of work, I need to make a lot of decision, and be responsible with it. if I make a wrong decision due to forgetting what has been learned, people might die or seriously hurt. That’s just how important it is.

Today’s post is dedicated to all student reading. And by student, I mean everyone since we all need to continually study our whole life to be better.

Never assume studying will be over once we got that degree or diploma or certificate. It actually just begins. And since we are going to be doing it all our life, why not we start loving to study. 🙂

– I wonder –
Do you have the same kind of thinking during your study years? That it will be over when graduated?

———— Personal Note ————-
It feels so good when you know you did well in something. Teh tarik on the house for everyone reading…. just go to any warung and order your teh tarik, then email me the receipt huhuh 🙂

Guys.. this just comes in, I’ve to undergo an interview on 3rd of January.  Not that I’m looking for another job. It’s just a routine quiz for engineers in my company. So if I ever want to be promoted, this will be my chance 🙂

Thus… I will be away for about 2 days (There will be no post on 2nd and 3rd of January). It is because, I need to restudy all those manual and notes. Wish me luck!! 🙂

p.s. Yes, I know… it does feel like I’m back in the university hehe
