Summary – Human is naturally lazy.. Authority needed
Yesterday is a “Pay-my-bills” day. So after the Jumaat Prayer, it will just be me and the bank.. Everything is fine, but I need to complain on one thing. The BSN (Bank Simpanan Nasional)
Just imagine, about 40 people queing and only two counters opened.It’s not that they are not enough staff to man the counters. There are guys behind the back door sitting and laughing. I know that it must be their lunch break, but I think the management can do more to settle this problem. For your information, this condition has been a practice since before I was transfered here.
What I did, I first go to the BSN to get the queing number, then I just take my time doing other chores. Believe me, I even had time for shopping my MONTHLY groceries. It’s that bad..
I don’t expect the staff to be self motivated. That is just near impossible when there is no reward in working harder. This is entirely up to the management to do something. Maybe reward the staff by asking them to collect the queue number. Then everyone will do their work faster to serve more people and get more incentive
Applying this to life, I guess.. when things go wrong. The person in charge must be the first to do something about it. Never expect people to be self driven to work harder. Human is just lazy by nature… it’s going to be very hard to change this.
Parent saw their children spending more time with television must do something to change tv into books and study. They should never assume their children will be self-motivated to study for their future.
Again human is naturally lazy. But there are some rare people who are hardworking, and will go the extra mile while completing his/her responsibilities. These are really rare breed. And usually these are the people who will be the successful ones.
Any ideas on how to keep us not only motivated but willing to do extras? 🙂 I have some ideas but let’s hear yours first…

About 1 year back, I’m not that comfortable using internet to do my banking. But I force myself and now I cut 50% of the time spent. The post office here is far worse compared to BSN. I guess that what push me to start internet banking 🙂

hm menarik gak idea tulis surat komplen tu, tapi first kena address pada manager bank tu lah. dan notify him kalau tak de improvement, mungkin akan diforwardkan pada hq dia 🙂

thinking about dreams kan… kena selalu ingatkan. mungkin tulis besar2 kat pintu dan baca setiap kali masuk pintu. jadi malu le plak kalau tak terkejar apa yg diimpikan.. 🙂 boleh apply nih
filantera – betul tu… budak2 la yg paling perlukan bimbingan. diorg tak tau apa yg paling penting, mcm kite skrg la… kalau dulu tau add math tu penting utk jadi doktor, sure akan usaha keras lagi buat add math, tapi masa belajar dulu.. mmg tak ambil berat sgt pun huhu skrg baru tau kepentingan dia.
sama le ngan merokok ke apa ke, org yg merokok selalunya tahu betapa seksanya nak berenti merokok, dan kalau le boleh balik dlm masa, stop diri sendiri dari merokok masa kecik. sure dah boleh beli rumah dgn duit rokok tu.. 🙂
banji..akak pun ada experience yg sama dgn BSN..hmm..buleh dikatakan kebanyakan gov dan gov-related service nya begitu…bkn sengaja nk cari keburukan mereka, tp bnda ni terjadi di depan mata.
akak terpaksa pegi BSN tu utk beli no.pin memohon kursus perguruan, kalau ada pilihan lain,mmg akak buat,mslhnya mmg kene pegi kaunter dan beli.
akak lihat staff mereka ada yg kelihatan free, tapi kaunter yang dibuka tetap je dua, dgn muka teller nya masam mencuka. customer yang menunggu adalah juga 20 orang.
dah lama dah orang buat teguran (dengar dari cakap2 orang) , tapi tak penah berubah..benda ni dah jadi budaya yang sukar dikikis.
tapi utk bayar bil, selain internet banking akak cdgkan banji pegi bank pertanian (jika ada berdekatan)..kat situ biasanya tak ramai pelanggan.
yup..slalu berpengalaman begitu bila di bank..kadang2 tolong mak masukkan duit, selalu x dpt lynn baik..yg paling bengang kalo ade yg potong Q..mentang2la saya ni pakai selekeh..
pastu lg ramai org dlm bank, lg sikit kaunter yg dibuka..kadang2 tinggal satu je..nk xnk kna tunggu gak sambil tgk tv yg x bersuara..huhu
bank yg paling best, public bank kat taiping..bossnye memang pantau dr blkg..kalo 1 kaunter lambat, boss tu dtg n picitkn nombor lain siap2..jd nk xnk org yg jaga kaunter tu kena setelkn pelanggan die secepat mungkin..hehe
banji, apa khabar? sorry lama akak tak menjengah… wah…dah banyak perubahan ya…rumah dah tukar cat baru, wall paper baru… nampak lebih pro..
internet banking…dah lama dah akak amalkan… senang je.. bayar semua bil online… Alhamdulillah so far tak ada masalah…bil air, bil letrik, telekom, cukai pintu (MBSA), byr kredit kad pun thru internet banking, jimat masa beratur… kadang2 order buku pun online jugak..kalau buku tu ada dijual online lah… walaupun kena xtra postage, tapi jimat masa akak nak cari kat semua kedai buku…
BSN?? dah berkurun akak tutup akaun… mmg setuju dgn salah satu komen tu, muka staff mereka semua cun-cun(agaknya salah satu requirement nak apply kerja kat BSN- muka cantik, setakat muka biasa-biasa ni jgn harap nak dpt kerja), tapi service ….hurm….
tapi kalau dah tak ada choice (mcm nak ambil no pin utk anak nak apply masuk U, kena pergi BSN jugak.. so, suruh anak saja pergi beratur kat kaunter tu)
Hari ni Nuzul Quran… InsyaAllah..dah byk mana kita baca AL-Quran (dah menghayati ajaranNya)..
kak luna – maknanya, bukan kat tempat saya saja lah ye bsn ni buat hal, tmpt lain pun sama? saya ni pun mmg takmo dah bukak akaun kat situ, tapi nak masukkan duit kat org dikampung tu, dia ada bsn je. so terpaksa lah jugak nunggu.
bank pertanian mmg ada, tapi tak tau le, selalu tengok (actually baru sekali tengok) mcm banyak gak org, sampai beratur depan bank.
kalau at least service lambat tapi muka senyum, terubat gak le hati kan? ni tak.. mcm kite hutang diorg lak hehe
wilda – org potong q? bank tu tak guna nombor ke? tapi betul gak pemerhatian wilda tu, lagi ramai org.. lagi sket counter dibuka.
mungkin ada masalah, tapi tu bukan masalah customer, diorg kena selesaikan le masalah tu. bukan bebankan kita ye tak?
boss public bank tu patut diberi bonus lebih sket 🙂

internet banking mmg dah popular kan? tapi rasanya beli barang secara online mcm kak azah beli buku tu belum ramai lagi yg berani. kite still dlm tahap tengok, puas hati baru beli 🙂
tapi rasanya kalau buku, boleh beli online, sbb apa sgt le cacat cela die kan? kalau barang elektronik ni kena hati2 sket la. ataupun beli kat tmpt yg reliable

actually saya pernah komplen di BSN sandakan, nothing changes, they just bloody ignorant. Di sabah/ sarawak lebih teruk dari semenanjung, sebab satu bahagian (yang ada lebih 10 daerah besar) cuma da 1 cawangan bsn. dan mereka treat orang2 kat sini mcm orang kampung semuanya. seriously layanan mereka memang buruk, setiap hari gaji, mmg hampir tak bernafaslah kat dalam bsn tu.kerana itu, saya tukar semua akaun saya ke maybank, dan hanya menggunakan internet banking.
azra – I actually am an internet banking user. Maybank2u is getting a bit slower now, but it is thousands time more efficient than this bsn 🙂
My folk is using BSN, so whether I want it or not, I have to put up with this BSN (Bank where time stand still)
