Summary – One way to click with your mind.
One of the most sought after knowledge is on how to understand the human mind. It takes hundred of years for people to get a grasp of its true potential and yet we are still scratching the surface. That being said, I’m going to introduce you to one theory of mind utilization which is The Theory of Three.
Just like a radio that will only produce clear sound when you tune it specifically to, let say, 100.1MHz, the mind will also work at its best efficiency if you know how to finetune it. And in this specific case, one way of finetuning your mind is via The Theory of Three.
What Is Theory of Three
Basically the theory states that our mind works best when it is associated with the number three.
The best way to explain the theory is by examples. Just have a look at the world’s famous three; “The Three Stooges”, “The Charmed Ones”, “Do Re Mi”, “The Three Musketeers”, “Location Location Location”, “Just Do It”, “As easy as A B C”, “On the count of three 1 2 3”. These are a few of phrase and title that comes in three.
All of them are very catchy, very easy to remember and very popular. Imagine changing the phrase to “The Stooge”, “Re”, “Do It”, “As easy as B C” and “On The Count Of 56”. The phrase will not be appealing now wouldn’t it?
This is how The Theory of Three works. By changing the form of your thoughts into another form that is associated with the number three, you are actually finetuning your thoughts making it more catchy and more effective.
How To Apply The Theory of Three
1) Change your life motto. Motto like “I’m going to be the no 1 student of this class” will not work. Use motto such as “No 1 Student”
2) Repeat important keywords three times. If you are going to remind yourself to study, Repeat the words “Study Study Study”. It will have more impact than just the one word.
3) Reorganize your subject in three. Always read three chapters of your subject every day. And rearrange the notes in each chapter into three different groups. Do this until you can actually see your three chapters in your head with all the three branches. Memorizing three chapters? Not a problem anymore
4) Better headline for reports. If your assignment require you to come up with a title. Try to adjust it to utilize this theory of three. Instead of “The Complete Study of Human”, try “The Mind, Body & Soul – A Study”. Your assignment will immediately stand out from the crowd.
Conclusion – Applying The Theory of Three is only limited by your imagination. You can always find other ways to utilize this technique and make everything in your life comes as easy as A B C 🙂

One of my favorite books during my childhood (10 years old) is a local book “3 Penyiasat” (3 Investigators). It is a story of 3 teenagers that often come across a crime case and successfully solve it. I still remember their name – Jalil, Gopal and Ah Meng.
Somehow the books had inspired me to start my own investigating club. We were supposed to investigate the claim that there was a ghost in our school. But of course in the end, the club just got deactivated because everyone was equally scared 🙂

Sneezes come in threes and sometimes yawns, wishes are granted in threes in fairy tales, ‘veni, vidi, vici’ (I came, I saw, I conquered) or I created it, I said it three times, and I succeeded. This could be a very helpful strategy for everyone including teachers.

Great concept, but, your section on Applying the Theory of Three has too many points; there should only be 3!!
Does anyone want to hear that the number to which you attribute so much power is the number for the triune God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit as well as the number for trichotomous man – body, soul, spirit and even within the basic trichotomy is another – emotion, thought, will. Many earthly elements exist in accordance with the same trichotomous organization, such as water – liquid, solid, gas, etc. There is a reason that it works and it has more to do with divine order than anything else.
St.Joan Ark spoke to three angles in her mind. Could we all have three? If these were her gaurding angles they did not keep her from the burnig at the stake. Maybe all gaurding angles are not meant to keep us out of harms way and it up to us to choose wisely our causes.
